OBIT: Fairmount, Feb. 25 – Last rites for Mrs. Wilhelmina Smith, 73, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fairmount Methodist Church. Rev. O.J. Beardsley, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Marie Cassell, pastor of the Friends Church, and Rev. Emerson Chapman of the Back Creek Wesleyan Methodist Church. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, widow of Curtis Smith, died at 6 a.m. today at the home of her brother, H.D. Wood, 908 North Main street, following an illness of several years. Mrs. Smith's husband formerly was a brick mason, and their home was located two miles south of here. She was a member of the Fairmount Methodist Church.
The brother and a sister, Mrs. Ennis Kitterman, R.R. 1, Fairmount are the survivors.
The body will be returned from 731 South Main Street to the Wood home at 3 p.m. Wednesday where it will remain until time for rites.
