Howard Lucas, son of Jesse Lucas, of Stemples Crossing, and Miss Merle Russell were married Saturday evening before fair week in the home of Rev. J. H. Hawk. Mr. Lucas is employed at the Novelty works, and the bride has been employed in the decorating department of the Carrollton pottery for a few years.

Howard C. Lucas, 85, of 298 2nd Street NW, Carrollton was found dead in his garage Sunday morning. Carroll County Coroner Dr. T. J. Atchison said death was due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Lucas was born November 7, 1897 in Carroll County, a son of the late Jess and Isabel (Ray) Lucas. He retired in 1962 from the former Carrollton Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Carrollton United Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Merle (Russell) Lucas; a daughter, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Allison of Southfield, Michigan; two brothers, Jess and Walter, both of Carrollton; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Freda) Woods of Carrollton; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held this Wednesday at the Allmon-Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Benjamin Blumel officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
