Rebecca "Becky" Sue Lynch, 37, of Piper City, died Friday (Feb. 17, 2006) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, following a three-year illness. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Monday at Reilly-Redenius Funeral Home in Piper City. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Piper City. Rev. John Balluff will officiate.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Piper City. Memorials may be made to her daughters.

Mrs. Lynch was a buyer for the W. Newell Company in Urbana. She was born Sept. 26, 1968, in Watseka, the daughter of Robert and Helen Quinn Hoogstraat. Her childhood was spent in Piper City. She graduated in 1986 from Ford Central High School and attended two years at Parkland College in Champaign. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Piper City, was board president of the Paxton Daycare in Paxton, and enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating.

Surviving are her husband, Terry J. Lynch, whom she married June 4, 1994, in Piper City; two daughters, Ashley and Alyssa at home; mother of Piper City; father of Chatsworth; and one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Pam Hoogstraat of Piper City.

Her grandparents, Edward J. and Louise Quinn, John and Viola Hoogstraat; two uncles, John and Raymond Quinn; and one cousin, Marsha Hoogstraat, are deceased.
