Giles is the son of Robert Lee, born about 1711 in Whitechapel, Middlesex, London, England. He immigrated to the British Colonies arriving 19 Jul 1728 bound to John Ball to serve 7 years as an indentured servant in Pennsylvania or New York. Per The Complete Book of Emigrants 1700-1750, Vol 3, page 385.

Robert married Rachel about 1736 and fathered three known children: Giles, Elizabeth and John.

In 1737, Giles' place of birth was the Colony of New Jersey. He was baptized 22 May 1738 at Christ Church, Shrewsbury, Monmouth Co., NJ.

Giles married Ann about 1750. They had five known children including Eleanor "Nellie" (who married George Glazener), James, Robert, John, and William.

After the death of Ann, Giles married Rachael about 1798 and Sarah about 1803. He did not father any children with Rachael or Sarah.

The last names of Giles' wives, their dates of birth, death or place of burial are unknown.
