She was born on February 6, 1921, in Carroll County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard and Merle (Russell) Lucas. She married William P. Allison November 10, 1945, who preceded her in death on October 12, 1983. Dorothy owned and operated Dorines Beauty Shop for 15 years. She was a member of the Kervin Baptist Church of Kernersville, North Carolina, and a member of the OES #315 of Carrollton.
She is survived by one daughter, Dr. Karen Allison Spinard of Walkertown, North Carolina; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requested no calling hours or funeral service. Burial was in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton.
