Mrs. Goodwin was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitnel.
Survivors in addition to her mother and step-father, Basil L. McVey of Raleigh include her husband, Richard H. Goodwin of Lenoir; a son, Jonathan L. Goodwin of Lenoir; a brother, Marty L. McVey of Houston, TX; three sisters, Mrs. Sheila Bender and husband Brad, Ms. Donna Greer, and Ms. Sherry L. Potter, all of Raleigh; one niece and four nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Stuart White. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 6:30-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
