Teresa Elaine Greer Goodwin, age 49, of Poplar St., Lenoir, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was born October 21, 1958 in Caldwell County to the late Jimmie Lee Greer and Mrs. JoAnne McVey of Raleigh. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister, Angela D. Greer.
Mrs. Goodwin was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitnel.
Survivors in addition to her mother and step-father, Basil L. McVey of Raleigh include her husband, Richard H. Goodwin of Lenoir; a son, Jonathan L. Goodwin of Lenoir; a brother, Marty L. McVey of Houston, TX; three sisters, Mrs. Sheila Bender and husband Brad, Ms. Donna Greer, and Ms. Sherry L. Potter, all of Raleigh; one niece and four nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Stuart White. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 6:30-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
