Cliff was born on December 14, 1931, in Marshalltown, the son of John and Pauline (Corneilson) Robbins. He received his education in Marshalltown schools. Cliff married Sharon Ankrum on June 7, 1951. He was a truck driver for H Motor Express for 17 years, Taken Brothers for 7 years, and Mahaska Beverage for 6 years, having spent 30 years as a truck driver.
Cliff enjoyed watching NASCAR with his favorite driver being Jeff Gordon. He also loved to bowl, play golf, play poker with family and friends and just being outdoors. He enjoyed spoiling all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of 62 years; four children, Mike (Mary) Robbins of West Virginia, Janet Robbins of Marshalltown, Jerry (Dawn) Robbins of Bagdad, Kentucky, and Julie Robbins of Marshalltown; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and three siblings, Betty Ricketts of Bettendorf, Iowa, Shirley Rhea of Anderson, Indiana, and Gary (Linda) Robbins of Dixon, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ed.
