(ROOPVILLE, Ga.) Elsie Francis Schoenberner, 88, of Roopville, Ga., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007.
Mrs. Schoenberner was born in Riverside, Calif:, on Dec. 24, 1918, the daughter of the late Frederick Alfred Stebler and Eva Violet Woodman Stebler.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Phillip Cathedral in Atlanta and attended the University of Southern California majoring in early childhood education.
Survivors include sons, Robert “Bob” Schoenberner of Roanoke and Steve Schoenberner of Roopville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schoenberner; sisters, Jessie Stebler Sweet, Irene Stebler Patterson and Hazel
Stebler Lewy; brother, Frederick Stebler; and great-granddaughter, Anna Hatcher.
A graveside service and interment was Thursday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at Arlington Memorial Park with the Rev. Jay Hammett officiating.
Pallbearers were Dale Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Scott Schoenberner, Chris Crowson and Ashley Corbitt.
