Odessa "Durr" Anna May Sikes
July 19, 1922 - June 6, 2014

Our dear mother went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, Friday, June 6, 2014. She was 91. Mother was born in Eastman, GA, the daughter of the late Augustus and Anna Asbell May. She played basketball and graduated from Hendrix High School. Mother was an avid bowler and a member of Mikado Baptist Church. She married our father Monroe Cullen Sheffield in November of 1940. After living in Eastman several years, they moved to Warner Robins, GA in the early fifties. Our father passed away in April of 1953. Mother later worked at Robins AFB where she met and later married our step-father William F. Sikes.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014, at 2PM, at Mikado Baptist Church. The Reverend Rusty Smith will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted and the family may be contacted at her residence.
Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
