Danielle Diane (Rogers) Thompson, 50, died April 12, 2003, at Research Medical Center of Kansas City. She was born in Independence to Albert and Helen Rogers. She was a lifetime resident of Northeast Kansas City.
She married Larry Thompson on Jan. 1, 1987.
She was employed for the federal government for 24 years, 22 years with The Department of Agriculture.
She was involved with genealogy and was an active member of the Northwest Missouri Genealogical Society and The Heart of American Indian Center. She designed numerous web pages for The Heart of American Indian Center and the Northwest Missouri Genealogical Society.
She was active in her son's athletic activities (baseball and football); and was a youth mentor at Primitivo Garcia World Language School.
Her survivors include her husband, Larry Thompson, and son, Nathan Thompson, both of the home; daughter, Amy Thompson, Kansas City, MO; two step-sons, Nokoma Thompson of OH; and Larry Thompson, Jr. of TX; one step-daughter, Nina and her husband, Mike Begaye of NM; her parents, Albert and Helen Rogers of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Kenny Rogers and wife Mary of Raytown, MO; and Chris Rogers and wife Glenda of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Judy and husband Steve Wolfe of Independence, MO; five nephews and one niece; four great-nephews; and four great-nieces.
Services are Wednesday at Glenwood Park United Methodist Church, Independence. Burial in Turner Cemetery in Wallace, MO. Friends may call Tuesday at the Sheil Funeral Home, Raytown.
