Roger Lee Ellison, 77, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away at Sierra Vista Regional Health Care Center on Saturday, June 28, 2014.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 11 am.

Roger was born on Monday, October 19, 1936, in Henryetta, OK, to the late Ross Ellison and the late Leon Fern Peague.

He proudly served with the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Roger served in the military for more than 25 years. Roger retired from the Army as a Command Sergeant Major.

Roger was married to the love of his life, the beautiful Margitta Ellison, for 58 years. Together they raised two wonderful daughters, Larriena Ellison and Geogitta Koering. Roger had the pleasure of listening to the giggles of two grandchildren as he watched them grow, Kitanna and Jay Jay Parker. Roger will leave an ever-lasting mark upon their hearts and minds, and each one will be able to smile, knowing that they had Roger to call "family."
