Ollie J. Brem, 68, of Valley Mills, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014, at his residence. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 8, at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, June 9, at Lake Shore Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Larson officiating. Burial will follow in Wortham Bend Cemetery in China Spring.

Ollie was born in Tours, Texas, to the late Eddie and Pauline (Kruze) Brem. He married Deborah Ann Smith on June 3, 1967, and together they shared 47 years of marriage. Ollie owned and operated Brem's Fence Co. for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1998. After retirement, he worked full-time as a farmer and rancher.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Brem.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah, of Valley Mills; sons, Ronald Ray Brem and wife, Laura, of Valley Mills, and Richard Dale Brem and Lori Love, of China Spring; daughter, Rebecca Lee Ballard and husband, Jeremiah, of Valley Mills; four grandsons; three granddaughters; brothers, Edward Brem and wife, Billie Dean, of Waco, Marvin Brem and wife Barbara, also of Waco, and Herbert Brem and wife, Edith, of West; sister-in-law, Lanelle Brem, of Lorena; many other relatives and numerous friends.
