Arndt K. Hoglund, 85, 1404 27th St., died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1970, in Rockford after a long illness. Born April 9, 1884, in Norway, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hoglund. Lived 65 years in Rockford, coming here from Norway.
Married to the former Augusta Glans in Rockford in October, 1906. She died in Rice Lake, Wis., July 27, 1949. Employed as a foreman by Ingersoll Milling Machine Co. for 45 years. He retired 15 years ago. Member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three sons, John, Kenneth and Karl, all or Rockford; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Weyburg and Mrs. Dorothy Anderson, both of Rockford; and Mrs. Ellen Abbott, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three brothers and two sisters living in Norway and several nieces and nephews.
