Arthur Keith "Sonny Boy" Fitch, 82, passed away Friday May, 30th, at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Ware to the late Marion (Egar) and Dr. H. Wilfred Fitch and lived in Springfield for years before settling in W. Spfld. in 1968. Arthur worked for the Third National Bank for over twenty-five years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Springfield. He proudly served in the US Navy. Arthur leaves his beloved wife, Judith (Quick) Fitch, his loving daughter and caregiver, Gail Fitch of W. Spfld., his daughter, Susan Theriault of Wolcott, CT, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, his brother, Stanley Fitch of New York and his sisters, Luraine Hurd of New Hampshire and Charlotte Rumlik of North Carolina. Arthur also leaves behind his loving feline furbabies, Heavens and Spooky. There will be a Funeral Home Service at 1PM on Tuesday at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St. W. Spfld., followed by burial at MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. A calling hour will precede the service from 12-1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 264 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104. The family would like to thank the staff at BSMC, Katz Oncology Unit, for their exceptional care and compassion.
