EUGENE LEWIS DOCTOR, age 88, died on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Doctor was born in Decatur, Indiana on June 20, 1925 to the late Arthur H. Doctor and Ella M. (Kleine) Doctor. He attended Hoagland High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was a guard at the Nuremberg trials. He married Betty Marie Coomer on May 19, 1945 at the Woodburn Lutheran Church. Eugene was the owner and operator of Doctor Trucking of Fort Wayne for many years and he also hauled milk. In the 1950's, the family moved to Florida for two years while Eugene was employed to help build the Daytona Speedway. He transported his trucking equipment there and hauled stone and asphalt. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church-Soest on Wayne Trace and the American Legion Post #296 of Fort Wayne.

His wife, Betty Doctor of Fort Wayne.
Son, Eugene and Jackie Doctor of Fort Wayne.
Son, Douglas Doctor of Fort Wayne.
Son, Gregory and Celena Doctor of Stuart, Florida.
Daughter, Becky and Dan Greenwood of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Debra and Martin Wenzel-Hagerfield of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Gina and Brian Kiess of Fort Wayne.
17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Brother, Marlin and Mildred Doctor of Huntington.
Sister, Eileen and Dan Spieth of Fort Wayne.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Gross.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2-6:00pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church-Soest, 9909 Wayne Trace, Fort Wayne.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11:00am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church-Soest with Pastor Kyle Krueger officiating the service. There will be visitation before the funeral at 10:00am.

Burial with military honors will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church-Soest or Parkview Hospice..

Casketbearers will be Eugene's grandsons.
