Elizabeth M. "Betty" Brownlee, 94, Brookfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996, at McLarney Manor.
She was born July 29, 1902, daughter of Scott R. and Love McCreary Moore. She and Rollins H. Brownlee were married March 7, 1927. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1986.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a 1927 graduate of the University of Kansas, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta.
She is survived by a step-sister, Mary Scott Jarvis, Winfield, Kan.; a niece, Elizabeth Martin, West Plains; two great nephews, Richard Brownlee III, Jefferson City, and Frank Martin, West Plains, and a great-niece, Margaret Brownlee Madison., St. Louis.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 1996, at Rose Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Brian Butler officiating. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 1996, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home. The family will received friends from 7 to 9 that evening.
Memorials to the First Presbyterian Church or the Brookfield Carnegie Library may be left at the funeral home.
