BENDER Carl W. “June” Bender, Jr., 80, of Addison, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Lytle’s Personal Care Home in Farmington. He was born December 12, 1934 in Addison Twp., a son of the late Carl W. “Jim” and Ruth (Foy) Bender. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis (Leydig) and sons Jerry and wife, Christine of Addison and Terry and wife, Cathy of Fort Hill; grandchildren, Neil and Maddie Bender, Fort Hill and Shawn Suter, Addison and a brother, Robert Bender and wife, Myrna of Confluence. June was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Addison and a former member of the church council, Addison Cemetery Assoc. and Addison Borough Council. Friends will be received from 2-8 PM Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Addison with Rev. Glenn Foster officiating. There will be no viewing at the church. Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. John’s Lutheran Church, c/o Shirley Wass, 905 Wass Hollow Road, Addison, PA 15411.
