Carey "Chuck" Clarkson Gordon, 81, of Gainesville, VA passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Novant Prince William Medical Center. He was born on December 27, 1932 in Washington, DC the son of the late Eugene and Norma (Lee) Gordon. He was a US Army veteran.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Evelyn D. Gordon; three children, Bruce D. Gordon and wife Laura, Norma C. Gordon and husband Dan Fleig, Joseph A. Gordon and wife Kim; nine grandchildren, Carey, Erin, Brianna, Allison, Nolan, Leah, Shawn, Noah and Brady; and one great grandchild, Evey. He is also survived by one brother, Eugene Gordon and wife Marie. He was preceded in death by brothers Ralph, John, Richard, David and Carol.
The family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 at Gainesville United Methodist Church, 13710 Milestone Ct., Gainesville, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Youth for Tomorrow, 11835 Hazel Circle Drive, Bristow, VA 20136.
