Kathryn R. "Pierce" Sharp
August 18, 1957 – June 5. 2014

Kathryn R. Sharp, 56 of Dundee died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday in her home. She had been in poor health for 5 years.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Rev. Alfred Whittaker, pastor of the Victory Temple Church of God will officiate with burial to follow at Maplegrove Cemetery, Dundee.

Born August 18, 1957 in Ann Arbor she was the daughter of Joseph D. and Dixie E. (Booker) Pierce.

Kathryn worked for many years as a medical assistant. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School and a member of the Victory Temple Church of God.

Surviving are her long time companion Joseph Schmitt; children Angel M. (Hugh) Ems-McLaren of Monroe, Cheryl L. Mayville of Brownstown and Anthony J. (Jodi) Collier of Monroe; grandchildren Dustin Ems, Christopher Mayville, Devin Ems, David Matville, Matthew Collier, Mylea McLaren and Zayna Collier; Brother, Rodge Armstrong and sister Sue Honeycutt of Hillsdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Sharp; sisters, Joyce Honeycutt; brothers, Neal Armstrong and Joseph Pierce, Jr. and Dixie "Cookie" Zawacki and nephews, Kenny Cox and Henry Honeycutt.
