Hazel R. Perkins, 85, of Jersey Shore, formerly of Boalsburg, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore.

Hazel was born on October 9, 1928 in Pine Hall, the daughter of James C. and Elizabeth M. Laird Rudy. She graduated from Petersburg High School, class of 1946. On April 18, 1953, Hazel married Burt L. Perkins in State College. Hazel worked for Penn. State University as a printing secretary for 33 years until her retirement.

Hazel is survived by her nephew, George St. Clair and wife, Norma; niece, Joan St. Clair Hedges; grandnieces/nephews, Dawn Hedges Kisinger, Frank Hedges IV, Diana Hedges, and Elizabeth Hedges Padgett; and 12 great-grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Burt L. Perkins; sister Claire Rudy Kurtz, brother, Floyd Rudy; and sister, Nancy Rudy St. Clair.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, June 14th, 2014, at Boalsburg Cemetery. All guests are encouraged to wear blue in memory of Hazel.
