Bob Dixon, age 73 of Richmond, formerly of Connersville, went home to be with his Lord on Monday June 2, 2014 at Reid Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Jackson County, Kentucky on January 30, 1941 he is one of a set of triplets born to the late Bud and Alice McKinney Dixon.

Bob had worked at Kemper Cabinet in Richmond for sixteen years. He later moved to Texas and worked with his family in a lawn care business for over twenty years until his health no longer permitted him to work. He returned to Connersville in 2002.

He enjoyed playing dominoes, horseshoes, being outdoors, mushroom hunting and turtle hunting. He loved going to church and praising his Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Dixon of Richmond; two daughters, Patty Dixon of Richmond and Crystal & Shaun Maly of Texas; four sons, Ricky Dixon, Bobby Dixon, Steve & Teresa Dixon and Donnie Dixon all of Richmond; five brothers, Riley Dixon of Connersville, Earl Dixon of Connersville, Lonnie Dixon of Connersville, Elbert Dixon of Brookville and Steve Taylor of Connersville; seven sisters, Virgie Sorrell of Sherman, TX, Kathy Workman of Missouri, Glendola Reeves of Missouri, Myrtle Collins of Connersville, Kay Isaacs of Connersville, Debbie Rose and Christy Russell of Connersville; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Timmy Dixon; four brothers, Elmer Dixon, Jim Dixon, Bill Dixon and Gary Taylor; three sisters, Hazel Frye, Bonnie Eddington and Beulah Seals.
