Cheryl Paulette 'Sissie' Carson, 69, Indianapolis, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Seasons Hospice, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born in Marion, Indiana to the late Paul Wimsatt and the late Agness Wimsatt Lewis and graduated from Marion High School.
Sissie retired from RCA/Thomson. She was a member of Greater Second Baptist Church. She attended Bible Study at St. James Lutheran Church and was a greeter every Tuesday. Sissie loved her family and was proud of her daughters and grandchildren and loved playing cards with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, and you didn't call her while she was watching them. Sissie liked traveling, rap music and Luther Vandross. She especially loved her dogs, "Mr. Big" and "Pebbles." She enjoyed family time with her brother, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her daughters, Jodie (Larry) Weaver Smith, Indianapolis, IN, Jill (Joe) Butler, Indianapolis, IN; brother, Joseph (Artie) Wimsatt, Inglewood, CA; grandchildren, Nycholas Weaver Indianapolis, IN, Ashleigh Jamison, Indianapolis, IN; Austyn Jamison, Indianapolis, IN; nephew, Omar (Carman) Wimsatt, Los Angeles, CA; great nephew, Ryan Wimsatt, Los Angeles, CA; special niece and nephew, Janie and Christian Faulkner, Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Wimsatt; mother, Agness Lewis; stepfather, Richard Lewis; and great niece, Jenna Wimsatt.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 North Baldwin Avenue, Marion, Indiana with Elder Robert Jones officiating.
