Sara E. Hudson, 64 of Lancaster entered into rest on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the widow of Vanlon G. Hudson, Sr.
Sara was born in Lancaster on October 22, 1949 to Dorothy (Thomas) London and the late John London.
During Sara's years of employment, she was a housekeeper for more than 20 years at Willow Valley.
Sara is survived by her two sons,Vanlon G. Hudson, Jr. and Sadeen I. Hudson (Kim Puig); a grandson, Nicholas C. Hudson, all of Lancaster, PA; two sisters, Violet Smith (Paul) of York, PA and Dorothy Johnson (Donell) of Cleveland, Ohio; a special niece, Gertrude London who was also her God Child; a special niece and nephew, Becky and John Palmer; other nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Cordelia Williams, Wanda Palmer and Patricia Williams.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 701 N. Lime St., Lancaster, PA 17603 with Pastor R. Forbes officiating. The viewing will be from 11-12 p.m. and the service will follow immediately afterwards at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA.
