Mrs. Mary "Bea" Vaden, 85, of Greensboro, departed from this life on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Wesley Long Hospital.

Born in Campbell County, February 12, 1929 to the late Jerry and Alma Viar, Mrs. Vaden was of the Baptist faith. When she had the opportunity, she enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius "J.B." Vaden, and eight of her nine siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Linda Boggs and her husband D.A. of Greensboro, Donnie Crews and her husband Barry of Summerfield, Brenda Grantham and her husband Duane of Greensboro, and Julie Fuquay and her husband Jeff of Summerfield; a sister, Gracie Scammahorn of Virginia; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
