Jeannie Aduddell, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in Amarillo under the care of Hospice Care of the Southwest.
A gathering of family and friends will be at the family residence at 100 North Cherry Street, Claude, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers of Claude.
Jeannie was born April 2, 1944 in Clarendon, TX to Thomas Lawrence Heckman and Wanda Lee Stapp Heckman. Jeannie attended school in Stratford, Clarendon and Claude, all in the Texas Panhandle. She married Rex Aduddell on August 29, 1959 in Memphis, TX and they raised their children in Claude.
Jeannie was the owner and operator of Jeannie's Beauty Salon in Claude until she retired in 2008. Throughout her career she established lifelong relationships with her clients who cherished her friendship.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Randy Heckman, step-brother Jack Carter Allen, Jr. and a beloved Granddaughter Candice Leigh Feland.
Jeannie is survived by her husband Rex Aduddell of Claude, daughters Kelly Kelley (Terry) and Sharla Matthews (Dean) of Amarillo. Sons Bret Aduddell (Kira) of Fort Collins, CO and Tom Edd Aduddell (Jenny) of Canyon, TX. Her Sister Patsy Daily and Brother Kenny Heckman both live in Waukomis, OK. She also has seven surviving Grandchildren; Jenniffer, Kimber, Nathan, Trena, Jonathan, Janey and December. Great Grandchildren are Dominick, Donovan, Marie, Macie, Anika, Shamara, Callie, Kyree, Trudy, Benjamin, Drake, Lillie and Austin. She also will be missed by her precious poodle Roxie.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be expressed through donations to the Claude Cemetery Association at P.O. Box 189, Claude, TX 79019 or the Claude EMT Association at P.O. Box 289, Claude, TX 79019.
