A Monroe County farmer, Delmar Wilson, 58, Route 5, working alone on his farm yesterday afternoon was fatally injured in an accident in which he reportedly was run over and crushed by his truck, and died later in the local hospital.

Coroner Robert E. Lyons, Jr., said today details of the accident are not known, since there were no witnesses. He said that a fragmentary report on the tragedy indicates that a passerby saw Wilson pinned under his truck and called an ambulance.

Cause of death, said Dr. Lyons, is "surgical shock," loss of too much blood.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Wilson of Bloomington, and a daughter, Mrs. Noami [sic] Sanders of R. 3, Spencer. Four grandchildren also survive.

He was a former stone employee, having worked as a sawyer. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Clear Creek Church of Christ [sic}, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Day Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.

Mr. Wilson was a native of Lawrence County, the son of Charles and Elizabeth Linthicum Wilson. He had lived in Monroe County most of his life.

He was admitted to the hospital at 3:36 p.m. and died at 4:56 p.m., it was reported today by hospital attaches.
