A[.] Jack Brown, 76, 725 S. Walnut, died shortly after midnight today at Bloomington hospital.

Survivors include the wife, Lena Brown; two sons, Claude Brown, Terre Haute, and Lowell Brown, Brownstown; a grandson and a great grandson.

Brown was a native of Brown county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Elks lodge.

Public memorial services will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Allen Chapel, and funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the same chapel. Rev. Robert Hazen will officiate and burial will be in Clear Creek cemetery.

Friends ares [sic] requested to give memoriums to a charity of their choice.

Elks will conduct a memorial service tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen Chapel, open to friends.

Pallbearers will be Thomas, Malcolm and Garland Brown, Maurice, James and Max Bender.
