JAMES M. DUBOIS, age 71 of Addison, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Veterans Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born on April 15, 1943 in Hudson, MI to Lester H. and Vivian A. (Crisp)DuBois. He married Nancy D. Worden on January 8, 1978 in Cement City, MI, and she survives. James lived in the Addison-Cement City area most of his life. He graduated from Cement City High School in 1961. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Army from 1967-1969. He was a former member of the Cement City Masonic Lodge. James was formerly employed at Allied Chucker Co. in Jackson, retiring in 2004.
Surviving besides his wife; Nancy, are three sons; Martin (Olga) DuBois of Eaton Rapids, Mark DuBois and his girl friend; Jill Oswald of Grand Rapids, Daniel (Crystal) DuBois of Fort Worth, Texas, two daughters; Cindy (Jonathan) Nelson of Pine Level, Alabama, Leslie (Stephen) Herzfeld of Cement City, many grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother; Rex (Julie) DuBois of Cheboygan, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother; Robert DuBois.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Rev. Duane Lindeman, officiating. The visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. on Friday. Burial will take place at Somerset Center Cemetery in Somerset Center, MI. Full Military Rites will be performed.
