Early Wednesday morning, June 4th, Carol Cameron went home to her loving parents, Paul and Kathryn Cameron and to her Lord and Savior.

Originally from North Carolina, she was raised in Miami, Florida and spent her summers here on the family farm in Calypso with her grandparents, James and Mary Cameron. She was dedicated to fundraising, helping others, and bettering her community. Her most recognized work was with the NC Jaycees and was honored with the Governor's Award for community service. Carol also enjoyed working with the Girl Scouts and felt most at home instructing on the archery range. She took pride in her career as an Occupational Therapist helping her clients adapt to new and easier ways of living.

Her memory will live on in her daughter, Mary Kathryn Dallas Ferguson and son-in-law, Michael Odom; grandchildren, Savannah Rain Odom, Lucas Angel Odom, and Lorelai Kathryn Cameron Odom. She is also survived by her cousins, John and Janet Cameron and their son, John Dallas Cameron; Debbie Cameron and Kathy Cameron, Steve Gorham and his family; and many, many beloved close family friends, you know who you are and now she can watch over us all.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home followed by a service celebrating Carol's life at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
