Minnie Jacobs, 93, of Main Street, Pittston, died Wednesday at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township.

Born April 22, 1905, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Day Williams.

She was a member of the Wyoming Valley Gold Star Mothers chapter and was past president of the Brookside Chapter, Post 837.

She was also a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Hearts Unit 178.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Sr., in 1970; a daughter, Loretta Barriero, in 1993; sons, James, in 1950; Carl J. Jr., in 1995; a twin brother, John; a sister, Emma Watson; a grandson, Donald Peterson; a great-granddaughter, Kimberly Kalinas.

Surviving are sons, Harry and Robert, both of Middlesex, N.J.; Ronald, Somerset, N.J.; Frank, Exeter; Paul, Mountaintop; daughters, Lydia Barriero, Lake Wallenpaupack; Carol Kosloski, Luzerne; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Recupero Funeral Home, 141 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Revs. James Quinn and J.L. Harring officiating.

Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
