Dennis C. Stanley, 58, of Arvada, died Jan. 10, 2012, in Wheat Ridge. Memorial services were Jan. 14 at the Berean Church in Sterling, with Pastor Dan Holsten officiating.
Dennis was born Nov. 28, 1953, in Sacramento, Calif.
Dennis was a very caring and loving person. He made friends easily and kept them as a part of his life. He was a volunteer at the Denver Botantical Gardens, Sterling Health Department and various other organizations. Dennis retired from Weld County Sheriff's Department in 1994.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Powers and husband Arliss of Arvada; sisters, Linda Brainard and husband Chris of Arvada, Sharon Park and husband Dave of Sterling; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Stanley; and brother, Christopher C. Stanley.
