Mary L. Hawks, age 80, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

Mary Lee was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ora Beatrice Williams-Womack. She was raised and educated in Wardell, Missouri and graduated from Wardell High School with the Class of 1951. Mary enjoyed being a homemaker, and while living in Wilmington, she attended the First Baptist Church. In her free time, Mary took pleasure in quilting, gardening, and fishing.

Survivors include children, Lenny (Barbara) Hawks of Colorado, Sherita (Charles) Friddle of Wilmington, Alan (Donna) Hawks of South Carolina, Glen (Carla) Hawks of South Carolina, and Deb (Doug) Henline of Coal City; (18) grandchildren; (13) great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Harlond (Frances) Womack, Paul(Billie) Womack and Ruth (Leonard) Williams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sally (the late Bob) Frazier, Mary Frances (Joe) Campbell, Sydney (Dot) Hawks, Doug (Sandy) Hawks, Judy (Clarence) Whitt, Brenda (the late Roy) Scheidhauer, Joyce (Emery) Bazell, Sue Hawks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded by her parents; husband, James; son, Terry Hawks; brother, Dewey Womack (who was killed in action on the Island of Luzon in the Phillippines on March 21, 1945); sister, Geraldine Broyles; brother-in-law, Bobby Dale Hawks; and one sister-in-law, Doris (James) Faucett.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10:00AM until time of funeral service, 12:00 Noon at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.
