Charles Darin Rognon, 44, of Marysville, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Columbus, with his family and friends at his side after an extended illness.

He was employed for several years with Dominion Homes overseeing and completing last-minute details and maintenance issues prior to homeowners taking possession.
He was a member of the Marysville Eagles Aerie No. 3506 and Marysville Moose Lodge No. 1651. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a great fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by his children and family.

He was born Jan. 17, 1962, in Zanesville, to Charles M. and Jean Calihan Rognon. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son, Derek Rognon.

Survivors include his children, Darin "D.J." Rognon, and Christy Rognon, each of the home; his mother and step-father, Jean and Charles Wolford of Marysville; a brother, Mike (Pam) Rognon, and a sister, Tami (Terry)
Farmer, each of Marysville; a half-brother, Terry Rognon of Dresden; his former wife, Barb Miller of Marysville; two aunts, Shirley Calihan of Zanesville, and Diane (Jim) Ingles of Plain City; two uncles, Palmer (Bobbie) Calihan of Westerville, and Jim Rognon of Nevada; his nieces and nephews, Shannon, Shane, Cameron and Danielle Rognon, Brandon and Christopher Salmons, Kyle Holbrook, Brian, Bradley and Brittany Farmer, Angie Kise, Courtney and Terry Rognon, Victoria Long, Erica Burkard and David, Tiffany and Bridget Giles; special family and friends, Lorna Owen, Betty Giles, Lora Owen, Danny Furrow, Earl Siders, and Sue Miller; and many cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery with Paul Reynolds officiating. At the deceased's request, no calling hours will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made on the family's behalf to Mannasmith Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
