Irene Mae McSweeney Chapman was a very loved woman. Born June 12, 1925. She was the youngest of 2 daughters. She grew up in Brockton Massachusetts. She moved to the Washington DC area with her daughter where she began working at the Government Printing office. She was employed there until her retirement many years later.
She was the mother of Helen Harris. Grandmother of Michael Harris and his wife Patricia Harris. Great Grandmother of Kimberli Morgan and Kayla Morgan. Great Great Grandmother of Miley McNall and Maura Goodman. All of Taneytown MD.
When she arrived in Heaven, she had many loved ones waiting for her. Including her parents John and Mary McSweeney, and her sister Helen McSweeney.
She touched many lives in her life, but none more than those closest to her.
She will always be remembered by all of those who loved her.

Update:
In December 2016 each member of our family received an Ancestry DNA kit for Christmas. We were all very eager to learn more about our heritage and where we came from. When the results came back, we were shocked at what we uncovered. There was a DNA match found. Irene had two more children, TWINS, Carol and Joseph. Being a single mother already, Irene made, what I believe to be, the hardest decision of her life. She chose to give the twins up for adoption. They were adopted together by a wonderful family.
As an adult, Carol searched for her biological mother. But was unsuccessful until a match was made through Ancestry DNA.
Unfortunately, they were never able to meet their mother as she had passed away almost 4 years prior. But it has been an amazing experience for all of us. We have now connected with long lost family. Helen, who has always thought she was an only child, now has a little sister and brother.
