AT THE COUNTY SEAT.

Mrs. E.W. Lake, the wife of the late Dr. E.W. Lake, died last evening at the residence of her son, E.B. Dye. Mrs. Lake was eighty-three years old, came to Marion in 1859 from Ohio, and leaves seven surviving children among whom are Mrs. M.L. Elliott, and Joseph Lake. Funeral will take place from her son's residence, E.B. Dye, one and one half miles north of Marion, Sunday at 2 p.m., conducted by Alex Marshall and W.W. Gist.

Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Lake of Des Moines will come here to attend his mother's funeral , Mrs. Dr. Lake.
