Funeral services for Ora Lee Harris, age 93 of Cookeville, will be conducted on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012 at 2:00PM from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Garry Farris and Bro. Tim Miles officiating. Burial will follow at the West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 11:00AM to 8:00PM and Wednesday from 7:00AM until time of service. Mrs. Harris's Grandsons and Great-Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Ora Lee Harris was born on September 29, 1919 in Putnam County, TN to the late Landon Garland and Vallie Ann (Phy) Jackson. She was a homemaker and attended the Wilhite Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: the late Carlos Harris, Sr., Son: Jimmy Dyer Harris; Brother: Andrew Landon Jackson; 2 Sisters: Barbara Burris and Edna White; Grandson: Michael Swift.
She is survived by 2 Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Douglas (Cindy) Harris and Dow (Karen) Harris, Jr. both of Cookeville
2 Twin Daughters and Son-In-Law: Alene (Jr.) Parrigin of Cookeville and Arlene Baker of Gainesboro.
