Elsie Mauerman Morton passed away peacefully on June 2, 2014 from complications incident to age.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 19, 1923 to Albert Hugo Mauerman and Anna Barbara Wendel. She is preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth (Andra), and Frieda (Hawkins); and brothers, Leonhard, Albert, Fred, and Otto.

She married Glenn W. Morton on March 21, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1989. Together, they raised two sons, Larry (Ann) and Lynn (Tami), and two daughters, Diana (Drew) Hansen and Debra (Kevin) Kilpatrick. Elsie had nineteen grandchildren and forty-eight great-grandchildren.

She was an exceptional wife and mother, who will be missed by all who knew her.

Her family would like to thank Dignity Hospice for their wonderful assistance.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary & Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East). Friends may call on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the services.
