Mary Brooke was born about 1678 and died about Sept. 1760, Her will was proved May 24, 1763 in St. Mary's County MD. She was the daughter of Baker Brooke and Anne Calvert.

"To dau. Anne Thompson and hrs., 6 slaves.
I confirm a gift formerly made by me to grand-son Rapheal Thompson, of a slave and her increase and also a gift formerly made by me to grand-dau. Eleanor Thompson., of a slave and her increase.
To grand-dau. Mary Eleanor Comb and hrs., slave and her increase,
To grand-son John Francis Towney [Taney] and hrs., one slave.
To grand-son John Diggs and hrs., slaves.
To grand-son Rapheal Brooke some slaves. My old slave, Nell, to choose which of my 3 living daus. she will serve, and to her choice, I give her.
To grand-dau. Eleanor Diggs, one slave.
To daus. Mary Taney and Henerite Brooke all the rest of slaves.
To hrs. of son-In-law John Lancaster, my mourning ring.
To son-in-law Edward Diggs, clock and 1,000 lbs. tobacco.
To the poor, 1,000 lbs. tobacco.
To Anthony Roberts, for services, 1,000 lbs. tobacco."
