Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson Bonnette, 82, of Montrose, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Lake Village Health Care Center. A native of Sunflower County, Mississippi, and a resident of Montrose for many years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Montrose Baptist Church.


She is survived by a sister, Vera Harbour of Montrose, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dewey Johnson and Victor Bonnette and her parents, Thomas Henry & Hattie Lemley Burns.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Monday, January 16, in the Montrose Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Donaldson officiating. Burial followed services at the Snyder Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bruce and Jackie Johnson, Bill Sellers, Kenny Mathews, Tommy & David Burns. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home.
