Sherry Ann Minor West, 55, of Spotsylvania County passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at her home surrounded by family.
Survivors include a son, Vichael Minor of Spotsylvania; two daughters, Ashley and Shawntoya Minor of Spotsylvania; her parents, John Willie and Alice Minor of Spotsylvania; sisters Regina Fairchild of King George County and Nadine Ellis, Tracy Maye (Curtis), Denise Brown (Charles), Bernadine Hill (Maurice), Johnise Wright (Jamie) and Melissa Minor, all of Spotsylvania; brothers Gregory, Anthony, Dwayne and John Jr., of Spotsylvania; six grandchildren; a special friend, Talaya Fairchild of Spotsylvania; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Douglas Minor Sr.
A public viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 6, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, Fredericksburg. A funeral will be held at noon Saturday, June 7, at Mount Hope Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, with a viewing one hour prior to the service.
The Rev. Dwight B. Michael Sr., pastor of Piney Branch Baptist Church, will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Little Mine Road Baptist Church cemetery in Spotsylvania.
