WALTER H. BEEBE
MANCHESTER CENTER - Walter H. Beebe, 74, retired farmer, died unexpectedly Tuesday in New Smyrna, Fla., where he and his wife had spent winters for several years.
Born in East Dorset April 3, 1885, he was the son of James M. and Cornelia (Hollister) Bebee. He had lived in the Manchester and East Dorset area all his life. He was a member of the East Dorset Congregational Church and also belonged to Adoniram Lodge 42 of Manchester Center.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna (Pettibone) Beebe of Manchester Center; three sons, Leland Beebe of Clifton Park, N.Y., Wilson Beebe of Manllus, N.Y., and Harold Beebe of East Dorset; a brother, James Bebee of East Dorset; a sister, Mrs. Earle Storrs of Manchester Center; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Brewster Funeral Home, Manchester Center, has announced that the funeral will be held in East Dorset Congregational Church on Friday at 2 pm. The Rev. Lester Tufts of the Danby Congregational Church will officiate.
Visiting hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the East Dorset Congregational Church.
