Lyndell was born in Mt. Pleasent, Utah. Her family eventually moved to Canada to homestead. Parley's family also went to homestead in Canada, and thus they met. They had ten children. After many years in Canada, they returned to the States, residing in Magna, Utah. Their eldest child, Margaret, was then 17 years old. Soon after arrival, baby Delbert was born prematurely and died. His grave site is in the Pleasant Green Cemetery, Magna, Utah.
