George Henry (Harry) Bagnell was born in Mandan, North Dakota in 1891. He grew up on a farm North of Sanger. He was one of 12 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Bagnell. Six sisters died in their youth. He had three brothers and two sisters, and he was next to the youngest in the family. About 1910, he helped his sister and brother-in-law moved to Medora, North Dakota, where he met his wife Gertrude Kendley. They were married in Mandan at the St. Joseph Church in 1912, and they lived around Medora for about four years. They had two girls born there.

Marguerite was born in 1913 and married R. H. McCone of the Hensler in 1930. Children, three girls and three sons.

Frances married Charles Olin of Stanton in 1931. They have one girl.

Ruth was born in 1918 and married Howard Fude in Tacoma, Washington in 1941. They had no children.

Harry (Bud) was born in 1920. He was in the Coast Guard married a Jerry Stevens of Kalispell, Montana. They have three sons.

Pat was born in 1922, went to Seattle, and married Margie Alfred of Seattle. They had two sons and one girl.

Mary was born in 1923. She married Edward Melon of Tacoma, Washington. He was in the Army.

Richard (Dick) was born in 1925. He was in the Army for several years. He married Dorothy Anzell of New Brunswick, New Jersey. They have one son.

Gordon was born in 1927. He was in the Navy and married Opal Grunow of Tacoma, Washington. They have three girls and one son.

Roy was born in 1931, and married Carl Nehr of Tacoma. They have four children, three boys and one girl.

Darlene was born in 1938, and married Grant Gates of DuPont, Washington. He was in the Army. They have three children, two boys and a girl.

Mr. and Mrs. Bagnell moved to Tacoma in 1942, where he worked in the shipyards a few years. Then he worked at Boeing Aircraft, until he retired in 1955. They moved to Spokane where they lived with their daughter Frances and her husband until he passed away in 1964. She lived until 1976. Four of the children have passed away: Mary passed away in 1967, Frances passed away in 1971, Gordon passed away in 1974, and Pat passed away in 1983. (by Marguerite McCone)
