Mooringsport, LA ~ Melissa Kay Sullivan, age 43 passed away on June 3, 2014 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, LA with Rev. Wayne Shew officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevens Cemetery, Rodessa, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, June 5th from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Melissa was born in Vivian, LA on August 20, 1970 to Donald and Martha Riddle, Sr. She had been a resident of Mooringsport, LA for the past 2 years and was a former resident of the Vivian area. Melissa was a homemaker.
Melissa is preceded in death by her father: Donald Britt Riddle, Sr, grandfather, Robert Doss Stevens; grandmother, Ara Louise Stevens and one special uncle, Clyde Stevens. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Martha and Kevee Ramsey, fiancé, Jeff Moore; son, Timothy Duwayne Still and wife, wife Therisa; daughters, Felicia LeAnn Johnson and husband, Joe, Melissa Donelle Sullivan and fiancé, Jerry Daniels, Anita Gabrielle Sullivan and fiancé, Zach Gonzales; grandchildren, Stormy, Regan, Carson, Paige, Emma Mae, Eli, and another precious one on the way. Melissa is also survived by her siblings, Debra Doneace Brownlee, Traci Linn Upchurch and fiancé, Bubba Jones, Donald Britt Riddle, Jr. and wife, Nicole, 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
Pallbearers honoring Melissa will be Andy Stevens, Nick Harris Preston Kelly, Chris Stevens, Jason Brownlee, Mark Forsythe, Jeffery Rice, Jr and Claude Bagley. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Rice.
