Raymond Boos Sr., 87, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, March 8, 2008.
Graveside services and interment were held Monday, March 10, at 1 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. David Priem officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Boos was born Dec. 5, 1920, in Gillespie County, the son of Harry Boos and Lisa Weirich Boos. He married Rosa Roberta Lynch on Sept. 15, 1943, in Kerrville. She preceded him in death.
An auto mechanic, Boos was the owner-operator of Boos Garage for many years. In later years, he managed the VFW Hall.
He is survived by one son, Raymond Hugo Boos, and a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Douglas Sollohub, all of Fredericksburg; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, three sisters and spouses, including Harry and Mary Ann Boos, Seguin; Rubin and Edna Boos, Kerrville; Josephine Lux, Kendalia; Gertrude Hermann, New Braunfels, and Mildred Boos, Austin.
He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Ida, Mrs. Raymond Johnson, and a brother-in-law and spouse, Albert and Anita Lynch, all of Fredericksburg.
In addition to his wife and parents, Boos was preceded in death by a son, Edwin (Eddie) Boos; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Mazurek Boos; a brother and sister-in-law, Teddy and Rosa Boos, and a sister, Norma Renfro.
