Leslie Mae Myers Safrit, 95 years of age, of Concord, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Andrews Living Center in Concord.
Leslie was born October 17, 1918 in North Carolina to the late William Stowe Myers and the late Carrie Mahasebell Myers. She was also preceded in death by husband, Raymond Luther Safrit; 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

She was a member of the Golden Slippers, a dance group associated with the YMCA, which traveled and performed. She also worked at Safrit and Myers Stone Co. on Hwy 29 in Concord for a number of years. Leslie was an active member of Boger Reformed Church and the Women's Circle. She was also an avid gardener, with a love of flowers, especially roses.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at Boger Reformed Church Cemetery, 7313 Gold Hill Rd., Concord, NC. Rev. Craig Scott will officiate.

Survivors include daughter, Pam (David T.) Craven of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Carrie (Craig) Craver of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Stephanie (Brian) Harward of Mt. Pleasant, NC; great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Jakob, and Anna Grace Craver, and Craven Harward; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer a special appreciation to the staff of St. Andrews Living Center in Concord for their care and support.
