Alice Jane Kearns
Oct. 16, 1938, to Feb. 15, 2002

Alice Jane (Dulaney) Kearns, 63, of Nevada, died of respiratory failure on Friday, Feb. 15, at Story County Medical Center in Nevada.

She was born Oct. 16, 1938, in Ames to Ray and Hulda (Miller) Dulaney. She had been employed as a CNA at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary Lodge in Nevada and enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, watching TV and
doing crafts. She was a longtime resident of Story County.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Herrington of Des Moines and John Herrington of Star City, Ark.; two daughters, Rogenia Strutz of Ft. Dodge and Treva Chance of Jewell; a brother, Wayne Dulaney of Nevada; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Wanda Essy, and a brother, Gerald
Dulaney.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at the Nevada Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tom Poppe officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada, handled arrangements.
