DENISON - A life celebration for Mr. Bobby Lee Baldwin, 76, of Brooklyn, N.Y., formerly of Denison, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Antioch Baptist Church located at 700 W. Walker St. in Denison. Pastor Manuel Gardner will officiate. Public visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 from noon - 8 p.m. at Cravens Funeral Home located at 1801 W. Morton St. in Denison.
Bobby Baldwin was born in Denison to parents Joseph and Jessie Baldwin. He attended Denison Public Schools and graduated from Terrell High School. After graduation, Bobby went on to receive a college degree from Prairie View A & M University in Prairie View, Texas. Later in his life, he moved to New York, N.Y. where he worked as a college Professor at City University of New York at Kingsborough Community College for more than 30 years.
Bobby entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers – J.W. Baldwin and William Baldwin; and sister – Thelma E. Venters.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Radames Baldwin (Denise); sister, Lois Patterson; and brother, Curlee Baldwin Sr.; four grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Baldwin Family is under the personal care of The Cravens Funeral Home.
