In Fresno, she met Gregg Snyder, They married at Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge, KS.
She was employed by the Porterville Unified School District as an elementary art teacher and coordinator and is known by students, teachers, and colleagues as "Mrs. Snydart."
Chris will be remembered for her vibrant and cheerful personality and her strong beliefs in peace and justice. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife, dedicated teacher, and precious daughter. Chris was a gifted musician and artist, a natural born comic, and her many artistic gifts and creations. Christine will be remembered for creating special and elaborate celebrations and birthdays for her family and friends.
She was the "baby" of the family. Christine never knew a stranger and had a way of making people feel special and loved.
