Albert, who resided in Milford, Delaware, served as a Private, 194th Glider Infantry, 17th Airborne Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He was also a member of the Delaware National Guard prior to the war.

His National Guard unit was called into full time active Army service on September 16, 1940, prior to the war, from Milford, Delaware. He was noted, at that time, as being employed as a Electrician and also as Single, without dependents.

Albert was "Killed In Action" in Belgium while serving with the Paratroops. He had served in the Army for four years and two months at the time of his death.
